Accessories of the Day

In about three weeks or so, it will be a year since I launched my first collection, Outré Forest Treasures.  Within a year, I have produced a few collections, which I’m really happy and proud of, but I know I can do better (and hopefully I do that in the next collection!)  So, I decided to play around with the different collections I have and create some ‘Accessories of the Day’, kind of like the ‘Outfit of the Day’ posts in all those fashion blogs and Instagrams.  #aotd instead of #ootd! hehehhe!  Here’s the first (of many!)

*do follow me on Instagram, thanks!*

I was just tweaking around and making some changes to my website when I realised that I did not even show you the full range of my Silhouette Rings which I released a couple of months ago!  Here they are – made of bamboo, hand-painted, with the back part painted black, because it is a silhouette ring! Haha!

One-Off Piece #3

I think I’ve been quite productive these few days making my one-off pieces.  Yesterday, some of my long-awaited materials arrived, so now I could really get on to making a few batches of my upcoming collection (which, I hope to release sometime next week!  woohoo!)  I’m crossing my fingers & toes over and over again, hoping that this collection would be much more successful than the previous one.  I know that it’s a fact that new businesses will take time to produce satisfactory results, but sometimes I just get so depressed thinking about all the effort & expenses that goes into it but only getting minimal responses or silence.  And the fact that I have no close friends & family near me makes it a lot harder.  Ok, I should not be ranting.

Here’s the 3rd one-off piece.  The 4th one might be a while away; at least after the upcoming collection has been released.  :)

One-Off Piece #2

I’ve just listed my second piece of one-off necklace on my Etsy store.  This time, I’m going for neon and neutral – there’s neon orange and neon green, with a hand-sawn pine wood block and genuine leather strap.  Enjoy!  :)

One-Off Piece #1

The Olympics is here already and yet I have not launched my new collection, which is inspired by medals!  Blame it on my distance from everything convenient.  :(

After getting tired of waiting for materials & supplies to arrive on my doorstep, I had an idea – why not use the ‘waiting time’ to make one-off pieces to sell on my Etsy store?  So here it is, my first one-off piece (after a longgg time.  I used to make one-off jewelry for sale, but let’s not go there).

Come get it here – there is only one.  :D

“It is made by braiding grey, peach, and white cotton cords together. A bright light blue knotting cord is then spiraled around the braided cords, and beads (pearl, clear, yellow) are then hand-stitched onto the braided cords.”

Sneak Peek of Upcoming Collection

I’ve just finished with the samples of my upcoming collection and can’t resist posting some sneak peeks of the lovelies.  Now, I’ll need to get busy with the packaging, photoshoot, lookbook, production, and start emailing lots of people!  This collection will be very different from my previous collection – this collection is brighter, bigger, happier, and more colourful, yeay!  It is inspired by medals & rosettes – and hopefully that will make everyone feel ecstatic & awesome like they had just won an award or championship!  :D

New Wooden Rings Range

Previously, I came up with these heart-shaped Love Rings, which is lasercut and hand-painted.  I have expanded the range with some new wooden rings and they were well-received at the Finders Keepers Markets last weekend.  Today, I have listed them on my Etsy store and they’re now for sale!  Yeay!  :D

Here are the pics!  Enjoy!  The rings can be purchased right here at my Etsy store!

In The Midst of Preparing for…

Lately, I’ve been busy preparing stock for my first ever stall at the Finders Keepers Markets, hence the quiet blog.  The market is in a week’s time and I am getting very excited and nervous!  Stock preparation is still underway – there is so much to do – and there is the stall display as well to prepare for.  So little time, so much to do!  But I love this kind of busy…if only my online orders can keep me as busy as this, hahah.  :P

Some pics to show some of the preparation I was/am working on!  :D

After coming back from my short trip away, I decided to tidy up my workspace before turning on the turbo to prepare stock for the upcoming market.

The Launch – Outré Forest Treasures

My new jewellery collection is finally launching today!  After months of designing and prototyping and planning…and the last few weeks of long-working-hours, it’s finally here!  I hope you all love it as much as I do!  :)

To view more photos of the jewellery and for purchases, head on over to my Etsy store!  Thanks so much!  :)
