Whilst going through my Pinterest pins for a roundup of my favourites for today, I discovered there were quite a few botanical-related pins. So here are my favourites. :)
My goodness! How did May fly by so fast?! And now we’re into the second half of the year already! May was a really fun month for me – there was my Melbourne trip, my birthday (although it wasn’t very fun, haha), working hard in preparation for the Finders Keepers markets, and the first night of the market itself. I think it all triggered something inside me to work even more and to be even more productive – let’s hope I can continue on with this productive-ness and not fall into procrastination mode again! :D
Here are some snippets of my May instagrams…enjoy!
Colourful cacti in Melbourne | Amazing sunset at St. Kilda | Super tall tree at Hawthorn | I love Melbourne coffee! | Burch & Purchese’s amazingly delicious cakes in bed | Me & my sidekick in Melbourne | Decadent breakfast | Fluffy clouds | Oh Mamasita, how delicious! | Birthday cupcakes by my dearest friend | Lovely present from another dear friend | Staining mini-chests for the markets
IS HAPPENING TOMORROW NIGHT!
Sorry about the caps, I’m too excited! :D
It’s happening in less than 24 hours – I guess the reason why I’m so excited even though this is not the first time I’m participating is because it’s at a new venue – which is massive, and hence a lot more designers who are amazingly talented. I feel so awed by all the talents that will be surrounding me at the market tomorrow night and Saturday. If only I did not have to man my stall every single second, I would love to visit every stall and say Hi and make friends with the other designers – I always felt like doing that, but I’m a bit shy. ;) But this time, I’ll try my best to make more friends! <3
Here are some sneak peeks of what to expect at my stall at the Sydney’s FindersKeepers Market tomorrow (6-10pm) and Saturday (10-5pm). It’s a pity it’s only for 1.5 days – time always seems to fly by so fast!
After my short trip to Melbourne, I’ve been busy preparing for the Finders Keepers markets, which is next weekend! Oh how fast time flies! Too much to do in so little time! And I came down with a cold this morning… *sniff*
It’s so exciting to be selling amongst so many other amazing designers at the Finders Keepers markets – I wish I could come up with a lot more exciting products for my stall, but sometimes it’s difficult with all the financial obstacles and limited pair of hands, hahah. Oh well. Here’re some sneak peeks of my preparations for the markets this time. Fingers crossed everything will turn out well! :)
If you’re in Sydney next Friday and Saturday, do drop by the market (which is at a new venue this time – the Australian Technology Park) and come by my stall – see you there! :D
It feels like March but it’s May already! Oh, time, can you please slow down & smell the flowers!
Here are some snippets from my daily life in April!
Filling up stock to prepare for FindersKeepers Syd AW13 | Working on more leather items | Made caprese salad for the first time | Tasted my favourite sourdough from BourkeStBakery once again | Played a lot of tennis | Enjoyed the beautiful autumn trees | Had the best chicken sandwich in a long time | Enjoyed a long weekend with dear friends | Made cocktails again, after a long time | Worked on new prints | My prints on fabrics finally arrived | Colourful mushrooms print!
Any guesses what will the fabrics be made into? :D
I’m so excited because I’ll be having a one-week trip to Melbourne this Sunday with a friend who’s visiting Australia. I’ve got a longgggg list of places that I want to visit and I can’t wait to try alllll the cafes I’ve got on my list! This will be my first proper trip to Melbourne – first time I went was during Easter and everything was closed. Second time there I was on ‘business’ (haha) and didn’t have much time. Yeay I’m so excited I’m gonna go pack now!
Today marks the 1st Birthday of Whimsy Milieu – last year today, I launched my first collection and fast forward to today, I’ve since released several collections. This past year hasn’t been super easy, but it has been fun learning new things and working on my own business. Although I have not reached all the goals I’ve set, I hope to work harder (and smarter!) and produce more good things for you all to enjoy! Hurray! Enough with all the words! Let’s celebrate! I’m giving 20% off to everyone who makes a purchase & enters the promo code ‘BIRTHDAY’ at checkout at my Etsy store for this whole week, so…start shopping!
Thank you soooooo much! <3
Another ‘Accessories of the day’ shot! I don’t really wear pink anything, but I really like this collection.
And a piece of great news!
I will be at the Sydney’s FindersKeepers Market this 31st May and 1st June! This time the market will be held at a smashing new venue – the Australian Technology Park! I know that it will be super awesome – bigger space means more creative stallholders with amazing products!
So right now I’m working hard on producing new pieces for this upcoming market! See you there! :D
